I didn't set out to start a property management company — I set out to host. I listed my first space with real hope, then kept hitting the same wall: managers who overpromised, cleaners who no-showed, and guests who could tell no one was truly in charge of the home.

The breaking point was a night when a guest was locked out, a turnover ran hours late, and a new review mentioned cleanliness — after I'd already paid for premium care. I was up until 2 a.m. fixing what should never have fallen on an owner, while earnings stayed flat because pricing was set-and-forget.

I wanted a partner who would run a property the way I would. When I talked with Rubiya, it stopped being a wish — we shared the same dream to build something better. Together we mapped transparent fees, hotel-grade checklists, and standards we were both willing to put our names on.

Today that is COZY AF living. I lead operations and hosting — guests, calendars, vendors, and the details owners shouldn't lose sleep over — while we stage for selling and for Airbnb so every space performs on the calendar and in photos.

I always believed a rental should feel intentional — not just furnished, but cared for. Before COZY AF living, I watched strong homes underperform because the layout, styling, and guest experience didn't match what the listing promised. That gap is what pulled me toward building something of our own.

Sandhya was carrying the weight of hosting every day — the messages, the turnovers, the reviews — and I could see how much it cost her. I brought the eye for how a space should look and feel: what photographs well, what comforts a guest, and what helps a showing or a booking actually convert.

We asked the same question together: what if we built the company we wished existed? Not a call centre, not a spreadsheet — a boutique partner that treats every home like it matters. We had a dream to do this honestly, and we chose to do it side by side.

And so we did. I lead staging and design direction — for home sales and for Airbnb — while Sandhya runs the engine behind the stay. COZY AF living is our answer to shortcuts: care you can see in the photos and trust you can feel the moment a guest walks in.
